Fall is the Perfect Time to Change Your Life
Change is in the air
The new year has never felt like a fresh start to me. Maybe I spent too long in school, or raising four children has meant my internal calendar is tied to the academic year, but fall has always felt like the best time to set goals and make changes.
As summer fades and fall takes over, change is literally in the air. Leaves are already beginning to change colors, the weather is finally starting to cool, and the apple trees are begging to be harvested.
While people I’ve followed online forever, like Chris Guillebeau, conduct personal annual reviews each December, I find August and September are a better time for me to reflect on the direction of my life.
I spend the summer helping my children get ready for a new year and wonder about what the next nine to twelve months have in store for me.
These transitions make it easier to think about changing my life in the fall.
The truth is, there is no magic season for changing your life. You can make changes anytime you feel the need for a course correction.
