Your Five-Step Process for Doing the Impossible
Your dreams are closer to reality than you think

I am not a fan of manifesting or magical thinking. Hope, while critical, is not a strategy. If you want to see changes in your life, you must make changes.
However, change is tough. There’s a reason most of us end up stuck with a job we hate, unhealthy habits, and desperate longing for a winning lottery ticket.
The truth is that every day, people’s dreams come true. Your dreams, as far off as they seem, are closer to reality than you’re willing to believe. This is not some pie-in-the-sky nonsense. The question is, how do you make the impossible leap from where you are now to where you want to be?
I spent years working as a lawyer, a job I hated, and that was so stressful that it nearly killed me.
For the past thirteen years, I’ve supported myself and my family without having a “real” job. I spend most of each workday writing and making art — and I couldn’t be more thrilled with my choice.
Life is far from perfect, but when I think about what I do for a living, I realize I’m living my dream.
How did I go from being a miserable lawyer to a happy creator? I followed a five-step process. It’s simple to understand but not easy to do.
It requires a mixture of mindset work and good, old-fashioned work-work. This process is not fast, and you will experience a lot of setbacks, but setbacks are part of the journey. You may find yourself needing to repeat different steps in the process. Growth is not linear. A great life is filled with obstacles for you to overcome.
No great story ever ends without the heroes having to prove themselves.
Conceive
Before you can do the impossible, you need to figure out what you actually want. I’m not talking about picking an income goal or anything like that.
You must conceive of your dream. It doesn’t have to be detailed, but you need enough to know what general direction you are headed.
